Gavin:
Not for the first time in his life, Gavin found himself lying on his back in one of the many open fields of Nelthet. The country was well-known for these fields, as it was the starting point of their star-reading. It was said that Nelthet was closer to the stars than any other country in all the world, and whenever Gavin was lying in one of the fields, he believed it one hundred percent. Never mind that his studies concluded that the stars were no closer to any one point of the continent than any other, it was more magical to think that he was closer, at least for a short time. It helped that the stars looked bigger in the fields of Nelthet and the sky was more encompassing.
Gavin stretched on his back in the darkness, staring intently up at the stars, not just lazily gazing at them. A frown line creased his forehead underneath his large, floppy hat. "That conjunction is all wrong." A finger shot up and pointed between various stars. "You shouldn't be anywhere near each other, you silly things." He sighed and dropped his hand again.
"It doesn't bode well. If it isn't a mistake, that is..." Another sigh as he pushed his hat out of his face and resettled himself in the grass more comfortably.
